The fully air conditioned auditorium can seat an audience of 268 people. An additional 50 seats can be placed on the lowered orchestra pit.
A catwalk system is available on request.

The orchestra pit floor - mounted on screw jacks - can be electrically lowered to function as an orchestra pit or be raised the lowest level of seating to raise the seating capacity. Alternatively it can be raised to stage level as an apron stage. Both sides of the proscenium are hinged full height and can be folded back to give a full width opening.
Backstage
The main loading door is 3.7m height x 2m wide, and is 1.35m height above ground level.
There are storage areas behind the stage, and a kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave off stage right.
Dressing rooms
There are four dressing rooms, complete with showers and toilets, with access to the corridor off stage right and to the foyer.

The Hawkins Centre has skilled staff for all technical and staging requirements, when completing the Venue Hire Agreement please outline your technical requirements.
Theatrical lighting comprises a 120 way patching facility with dimmer controls and flexible lighting positions throughout the staging area. It includes two lighting bridges over the auditorium.
The sound system comprises a reinforcement system and paging, recall, mixing and replay systems. The building has been designed to have good natural acoustics in the theatre, and a high level of insulation between adjacent spaces and external sources.
